200g rice noodles

1tsp sugar, chilli,ginger,cinnamon,coriander,pepper

1 tbspFish Sauce , 1/4tsp five spice,3 stan anaisOnion, Carrots, Beansprouts, Spring Onion, Garlic

Chicken stock 1.5lt

METHOD

  1. Saute Onions and Garlic: Start by sautéing finely chopped onions and minced garlic until fragrant. This step adds a savory depth to your broth.

  2. Chicken and Spices Unite: Add succulent chicken pieces to the pot, along with sugar, chili, ginger, cinnamon, coriander, pepper, fish sauce, five spice, and those delightful star anise. Pour in the chicken stock, and let it simmer for 20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together beautifully.

Now that your broth is infused with aromatic spices, it's time to complete the Pho experience with these final touches:

  1. Shredded Chicken: Take out the chicken pieces from the pot and shred them into bite-sized portions. Return the shredded chicken to the simmering broth.

  2. Noodles and Veggies: Add the rice noodles to the pot, allowing them to cook until tender. Toss in finely sliced carrots, fresh bean sprouts, and spring onions for a delightful crunch and vibrant colors. Let them simmer for a few minutes to reach the perfect texture.

  3. Mint Leaves and Lime Squeeze: Just before serving, throw in a handful of fresh mint leaves to elevate the freshness of your Pho. Finally, give it a generous squeeze of lime juice to add a tangy twist that cuts through the richness of the broth.
